The Learning Lighthouse supports the use of technology to enhance and enrich the curriculum and to support raising attainment and achievement. The Learning Lighthouse can be used by all Wirral schools and provides an extensive programme of activities, workshops and individualised school projects. We have worked with all secondary schools and most primary and special schools and welcome anyone who has not used our facilities to come along to the CLC to find out how we can support you and your curriculum.

A class visit to the Learning Lighthouse usually involves you coming along one night after school to chat through what will happen during the planned activity. This ensures that we fully understand your needs and expectations from the visit. We are always keen to suggest additional ideas and will support you throughout the length of your project. Many people return to use the facilities independently after becoming more confident and comfortable with the technology.

Please visit the curriculum and specialised film, image and audio sections of our website to find out about the types of projects, case studies and see examples of best practice.

We also run an extensive and free hardware loan service for schools.
