We continually run many projects with primary and secondary schools and are keen to make contact with enthusiastic and committed staff who would like to be included in our project activities.

Current projects include developmental stop frame animation work using our 2½D animation rig. Mark Fleming, an animator and 3D architectural model maker, has worked with TLL to create the rig and our first 2½D animation. This innovative rig will allow photography of images and shapes through Perspex layers from above to give an added depth to the animation.

'science inspired art informing young people'

The aim of this project was to raise awareness to biomedical developments in the design, manufacture and use of artificial and organic replacement and regenerated body parts through the medium of artistic expression.

This project was co-ordinated by the Learning Lighthouse CLC through a Pulse award from the Wellcome Trust which fund projects involving young people covering controversial issues in bioengineering.

Seashore Searches is the result of a series of summer schools held at The Learning Lighthouse, City Learning Centre. The most recent summer school was co-ordinated by Mosslands School and ran in conjunction with TLL. The aim is to investigate the habitats and surrounding environments around Wirral's richly diverse coastal inland areas.
